OPERADELROSSO
Opera del Rosso is a project of continuous training and theatrical research, spontaneously inaugurated in Florence after the closure of theaters on October 25, 2020. The founders of the workshop are two: Ian Gualdani and Giacomo Dominici. Former colleagues in the latest activities of Teatro del Carretto, the premises of their artistic union coincide with their desire for action and nomadism. In carrying out their activities, Opera del Rosso investigates the processes of theatrical creation based on the study of the body as a generative instrument and place of action.
The work has been shaped by the evocation of atmospheres oscillating between incarnated object and subject to be incarnated, between sound and space, sketch and poetry. The group is enriched by other stable elements such as Maria Lucia Bianchi as organizational curator, Giacomo Vezzani as sound artisan and Emanuele Marchetti as pivot and performer. The continuous passage of numerous figures within or alongside Opera del Rosso's projects has also allowed them to be nourished and further developed, in the spirit of mutability and vagrancy.
